How To Make This White Garlic Mushroom Pizza?

I always start by gathering all of the ingredients needed in a recipe and weighing and measuring everything before I start to cook or bake. This part is really important and key in keeping everything organized.

To make this white garlic mushroom pizza is very simple. You start by placing your oven rack in the upper 1/3 in your oven and lightly spray a baking sheet or pizza tray with oil.

Then you melt the butter in a large skillet and add the sliced mushrooms and thyme. Cook until the mushrooms are tender and then add the garlic. Season with salt and pepper.

Roll the pizza dough out on a lightly floured surface and place on the prepared pizza tray. Top the dough with cheese and garlic mushrooms.

Bake for 10-15 minutes until golden. Slice and serve!

Notes + Substitutions

Butter – Instead of butter in this recipe you can also use any type of oil.

Mushrooms – You can use any type of mushrooms you want in this recipe. If using small mushrooms you can just slice them whole. If using larger mushrooms I suggest slicing them in half first and then slice. Wild mushrooms would also be great in this recipe.

Cheese – The same goes for the cheese, you can use any type of cheese in this recipe you want! You could also try sliced fresh mozzarella.

This White Garlic Mushroom Pizza is simply delicious. Imagine a cheesy pizza base that is then topped with garlic butter and thyme flavored mushrooms. It’s then baked until cheese is golden and crust is crispy.

Ingredients

Scale

2 tbsp butter of choice
250 gr / 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
1 tsp dried thyme
3 cloves garlic, minced
Salt and ground pepper, to taste
450 gr / 1 lbs pizza dough, homemade or store bought
125 gr / 4.5 oz Mozzarella cheese, shredded
Fresh thyme, to garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat oven to 260C / 500F and place your oven rack in the upper 1/3 of your oven. Lightly spray a baking sheet or pizza tray/pizza crisper with oil.

Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.

Add sliced mushrooms and thyme to the skillet. Cook stirring occasionally until the mushrooms are tender and starting to brown. About 5 minutes.

Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.

Season the mushrooms with salt and pepper.

On a lightly floured surface roll the pizza dough out until you have reached your desired thickness. About a 12 inch circle.

Place the pizza dough on the prepared pizza tray.

Top the dough with shredded Mozzarella cheese and garlic mushrooms.

Slide into the preheated oven and bake for 10-15 minutes or until the cheese is golden.

Slice and serve immediately.
